Electrolux Epic 6500 SR Hose with Electrical Feed?

This is regarding the Electrolux Epic 6500SR with a power nozzle. Is anyone else having this problem? Have you discovered a fix? My hose has power for the power head integrated into the hose. The power is fed to the power head through a series of pins and connectors embedded in the hose and extension wands. The handle on my hose is overheating. I have disassembled the handle and noticed that one of the junctions is not forming a tight circuit, resulting in a broken circuit and overheating. I am hesitant to order a replacement part...this appears to be a design problem. Ideas???

this has been an issue, but new wires and ends have been designed by Aerus (the new name for Electrolux), to replace the old ones. Your vacuum is more than 7 years old, so it is out of warranty.

Call your local AERUS office, under vacuums in the yellow pages, or go to website

www.aerusonline.com

to find local office. They will sell you the parts you need for $10.00 or so. Bring the hose with you.
