The 10 wash programmes are listed on the detergent drawer (see below). the drawer is split into 3 compartments (1 - pre-wash detergent/2 - main wash detergent/3 - fabric conditioner).
There are 4 buttons:
Anti crease - this stops the water from draining out when using a delicate programme so that your washing doesn't get creased up.
Slow spin - reduces the spin speed from 1000 rpm to 500 rpm on cotton programmes and from 850 rpm to 500 rpm on synthetic programmes.
Extra Economy - uses less water ideal for half loads

***Washing***
All 10 programmes are listed on the front of the machine so you don't have to commit them to memory but i've only ever used 3 of them:
Programme 4 - this is the one I use most often and works great on your normal wash but then I don't have children and our washing is never very dirty. The spin speed on this programme is 1000 rpm and it can also be set to automatically dry the load once it has finished washing.
Programme 8 - this is great for stuff that you just wear once and isn't particularly dirty plus the cycle only takes 30 mins. As this programme is for delicates the spin speed automatically slows to 850 rpm and it cannot be set to automatically dry after washing.
Programme 9 - this gets used for jumpers in winter and as yet has not shrunk anything. This programme cannot be set to automatically dry after washing.
***Drying***
Drying is split down by time (40 mins, 60 mins, 100 mins and 150 mins) or by how dry you want it to be (extra dry, cupboard dry, ironing dry). I tend to use cupboard dry and have not had any problems so far. The only draw back is that you cannot dry a full load (5.5kg). The maximum drying load is 2.5kg.
