my vauxhall astra washer does not work why?

I hve pulled the pipe of the bottom of the water tank and althought I can hear the motor working no water is being pumped out. Is this a replacement tank or a new motor? can any one tell me of give advice on what to do next.

If You Pull the pump away from the washer bottle you will find a small "thimble" type rubber filter.
I had exactly the same problem and it turned out this was blocked.
Wash it out under the kitchen sink tap and try again.
Please let me know how you get on.
Best Regards.

Try the motor again on both front and rear washes - its the same one, just spins in the opposite direction. Then check for a 12v at the cable when you try. If 12v is there, you need a new motor - just plugs into the bottle, usually.
