How do you replace a fan belt in a Fiesta 1.8?

How do you replace a fan belt in a Fiesta 1.8? Which bolts need to be loosened/removed?

I agree, Karen - the first 2 bolts are sods to get to and they are always tight. However you can get in from underneath after removing the plastic undertray if there is one - you'll need 2 13mm combination or ring spanners or 1 spanner and a socket - whatever will go in - plus some Elastoplast! Enjoy....

NOT ENOUGH INFO.
IS IT DIESEL OR PETROL?
WHAT YEAR OF MANUFACTURE?
IN ANY CASE, YOU MAY NOT NEED TO LOOSEN ANY BOLT .
LOOK FOR TENSIONER.
USE RIGHT SIZE SPANNER (BETTER STILL SOCKET AND RACHET)TO LOAD AGAINST WORKING TENSION (BE CAREFUL!!! HIGH RISK OF INJURY) THIS WILL EFFECTIVELY SLACKEN BELT ALLOWIN BELT TO BE SPLIPPED OFF PULLEY.
MEMORISE ROUTE OFBELT BEFORE COMMENCING

Thanks John. Can see all the bolts you refer to, and have loosened bolt 3, the clamp with the hexagon beneath nut. The two hinge bolts are stuck fast though, any tips on loosening those? Trouble is there's not much room for leverage. Have tried WD40, 3 in 1 etc, but they're not budging.

If this is the Endura diesel, you have to slacken 3 bolts underneath. 2 bolts form like a hinge for the alternator to swing on - the other (3) is a clamp that holds the alternator adjusting bracket which has a slot machined in it. Usually these cars have a larger hexagon beneath nut 3 - and this, when you turn it, winds the alternator up the elongated slot. Hope this helps!
