I have had this problem in the past take the sunroof glass out give a good clean around the edges and give the rubber seal a good clean.

BETTER YOU FIX PERMAMENTLY BY HAVING NEW SEAL FITTED.
AT THE WORST VASELINE WILL ATTRACT A LOT OF DUST AND EXHIBIT DIFFERENT EFFECTS FOR EVERY WEATHER
