I have the same problem with mine. I think it may be the transformer.

My lazy boy recliner has a broken recessed actuator lever. It's oval shapped, plastic and I can't find any model numbers any where. It's mounted with two external wood screws near the outer lip. Can you help me?

There is a control module located in the back of the chair under the flap that is held down with velcro. It is mounted with two plastic zip ties to the wooden frame. The module is about 14" wide by 6" tall and about 1" thick. I work at a Laz-Y-Boy dealer repairing general furniture. I've replaced 3 of these modules in the last 4 months so I would say it's a good bet that the module is defective.
Symptoms were: recliner did not function but the remote control (wand) was lit up and had power. When toggling any button you could hear a clicking sound in the back of the chair.
Hope this helps.
