How to repair interelock switch for my Cuisinart dlc 7 super pro?

I need to repair or adjust the interlock switch for my Cuisinart dlc 7 super pro. The unit works well but the nylon pin that pushes down on the interlock switch does not always go down far enough. I sometimes need to press the back of the bowl down (or pull the front of the bown UP) to get the motor to engage. If I take the bowl/blade off, I need to press the interlock button 1/4" or more into the base to get the motor to run. It is NOT the bowl/plastic interlock mechanism, since I have 2 bowls - including a brand new one - and the problem is the same with both. I am mechanically inclined. Help, please.

I had the same problem. The cover has a white, plastic wedge shaped piece that presses down on the white rod to allow the motor to engage. The problem is that this wedge is not being forced down enough.

Solution: Remove the white wedge and insert a 1/2 inch piece of hard plastic and then reinsert the wedge. The piece of plastic you insert should be enough to press the wedge down enough to in turn press the white rod into the base to allow the motor to engage.

Good luck
