How do I replace a ripped out gromet type button on jeans?
I have several pair of jeans that are tight enough in the waist that over time, the metal button (the type machined through the fabric) has ripped out. The result is a pretty big hole in the waist band around the button area. Any great solutions for repairing that hole so that I could sew a regular button on? These are all Aura Jeans by Wrangler that fit every other way. Also is you have any ideas on how to let out just the waist band on new jeans maybe I could prevent this from happening again :)
Machine zigzag around the hole to make it smaller, force it through and then hand stitch all around the shank from the back side.

the only way i repair mine when i have the same trouble is to sew a tiny denim patch on the inside of the jeans and sew the hole up and to it.This way you wont see the patch on the outside and then you can sew another metal button on
