How can I clean the holes on my steam iron?

I have a staem iron which have clogged holes, how can I get rid of the residue? Procter Silex/ Model :17520FD Series: C5130

To unclog the holes in my iron I filled it with vinegar and kept pressing the steam releasing button until all the vinegar was used. I then filled it with water until all the traces of vinegar were gone. Works like a charm now
