Rover 414si N Reg oil problem/brakes?

when I break that the oil light comes on.. and its burning..there is no leak..and i have topped the oil up...... and its when ive gone a distance it stalls and needs to cool down....any ideas

Maybe you need to change the oil and filters it sounds like its choked up
