how can i fix peugeot 306?

what is the knocking noise coming from the rear of my peugeot 306.just had new shocks fitted and the noise is still there

Could be the exhaust silencer banging against the underside of the car. The exhausts changed slightly with different models and if you got the wrong one fitted, as I did, this might be your problem
