The centre nut has a sort of thin metal shield over it with the edges curled over the flats of the nut. Do this metal need to be pulled back before the nut is removed?

This is a drum with bearing or spindle unit together. There is 4 (13 mm) bolts behind the brake penal needs to removed.

undo the hub nut in the center of the wheel then take the handbrake off spin the hub round tapping with a hammer and this will relese the hub with the wheel barring
