Vauxhall Vectra 1.6 P reg key not turning - ignition barrel?

Can anyone tell me how to get the key to turn in iginition - or is there any easy way of getting the barrel out to change it?

i had the same problem and nothing worked.its easy to change the barrel as long as the steering lock is not on.you have to get the two screws out just behind the steering wheel.if the lock is on then usually the barrel has to be drilled out.

Contrary to all advice (about using lubricant in lock barrels) I have fixed three cars with that problem by injecting WD40 (My excuse is that I reckon that it isn't a lubricant.) into the lock barrel and then working the key in and out for about five minutes. Don't try to turn it just move it in and out. The way that I see it you have nothing to lose by trying this.
