I have a Kenmore 80 series dryer, the heat is not ignighting?

My 8-year old, Kenmore 80 dryer, does not heat to dry the load. There was a "click" sound in the past that would ignight the heat, I do not hear the "click" and do not have any heat. Help?

I want to say thank you to Mareia & Brian Sexson. It only cost me 12.95 to fix my dryer

You need to replace the sensor located in the back of the dryer by taking off the back. It's the temperature selecture. It's pretty much the thermostat to the heating coil. It's a small cheap part. If you want to find out if it's broken or not use a multi meter to find continuinity. There's four male legs on the sensor. The two small legs are the sensor for the heating coil which tells it what temperture to go to.If that's broken, your heating coil will not heat.My husband troubleshooted our Kenmore series 80 dryer. You are very welcome. :^)

I currently have the same problem with the same model dryer. When this problem occurred previously with the same dryer, I found out that it was a broken/worn belt that could not turn the dryer.

I still need to work on this
