My fiat will drive perfectly and all of a sudden, stop, as if I had braked. Then carry on for another few seconds and do it again. Its strange. I have already taken it to two garages and they cant figure it out. The said it was the coils, so I had them replaced and still had no luck. My dad, a mechanic said it is the petrol pump... its a punto ELX 75 and its a 1996. Head gasket had been done as well as an oil change and new spark plugs and leads. This problem is just getting worse. Im afraid it may cause an accident.

Hello, i have a Vauxhaul Omega Elite 3.0, i would like to change the fuel pump, where is it situated in my car and do i have to emty the fuel tank to change the Fuel pump?..

when did you last change the fuel filter supposed to be every 6000 miles easily blocked if you keep running on a low tank sediment picks up and blocks it prepare for spillage as line will be pressurized

The fuel pump will be hidden in the depths of the fuel tank - access is usually via a panel below the rear seat. You should check the fuel filter too - they are usually just forward of the fuel tank underneath the car, but occasionally in the engine bay. I'm wondering if the ignition switch is ok on this one...
