how can i fix a smell from my heater in 2004 peogot parnter deisel?

hi ,i have a [curry like ] smell in car when the heater is on; not l
loosing water and fan blows hot and cold as normal it is a 2lt quicksilver

There could be something on the heater matrix causing it to smell when heated up. Matrix is normally located under the dashboard. Worth a look anyway. Brian
