removing winding crown for a mechanical watch ?

how do i remove the winding crown from the mechanis of the watch so i can remove and clean ??

If you can get the back off the watch, there is usualy a small lever close to the winder stem which if carefuly moved away from the stem will dissengage the stem so that the crown and stem can be removed. Other mechs will have a tiny round dimple near the stem which if pressed with a pin will dissengage the stem. When replacing the stem, ensure you move the lever or press the dimple and tease the stem in place to help not damage the mech.
