Why does my washing machine stop pumping water before all of the water is completely drained? There is no reason for me to think anything is clogged, because it quickly pumps out the majority of the water. The washer is a Hotpoint mod. # VBXR1070WOWW. Also if you recycle back to the pump stage it will not start pumping again with low water level.

sounds like a problem with the water level sensing system, an air operated pressure switch situated in the upper part of machine. check pipe and pressure vessel for blockages, poss replace the switch. check out www.2ndwave.co.uk/manual.html
