Smeg Slimline Integrated Dishwasher - Not Starting?

I have an integrated slimline Smeg dishwasher that has suddenly completely stopped, the control panel shows no lights.
I have checked the fuse to the spur which is ok and am at a loss as to what the problem is. My wife mentioned that the machine made several clunking noises one day last week and checked to see if the spray bars were hitting a plate/pan etc - they were not and the noise subsided a minute or so later. All worked normally until today.
Any help would be more than welcome - unfortunately the manual is no help and doesn't even quote the model number!
Thank's in advance

Not sure if this will help but you could try resetting the machine. I have a DW1710E Smeg Dishwasher and I found the reset button on mine. Whether this is the same as yours you will find out. Behind the plinth, your dishwasher has a steel panel. I removed this and exposed the wiring, the reset button is red and at the leftmost part of the machine, on the "ceiling" of the bottom on the machine (if that makes sense!). Remember to switch off first. Good Luck.
