Replacing power cord on ghd`s ??

Hi, anyone advise me how you remove the plastic securing cap holding the power cord in the ghd straightners ?? looks as if it will pop off but dont want to break anything so thought I would ask first ??!! the led on the straightners is flicking on and off when you twist the cord at certain angles near to the entry bit off the cable, sound as if it could be the internal plug off the cord or the length off cable itself ??

any advice would be so much appreciatted !!

Hi Angie. Firstly it sounds like the cable has failed, I have found a guy who has replacement cables at a very reasonable price., £24.95 plus free postage. I believe he will send instructions with the cable, so it shoudlnt be too difficult. I fitted my cable in about 10 minutes. but I am very comfortable around electrical bit and bobs. The fitting does change slightly from model to model, but the cable is the same I believe. if you have any problems, John harper who has the cables is very helpful, and a real nice guy. you will find the cable and Johns contact details on ebay. Just type in the following item number and it will take you to his page. Item number: 190192368204 Hope this helps!
