why does my indesit IS70C tumble dryer keep tripping the electric off ?

I have just called out indesit - the dryer is tripping the earth leakage system - just on 12 months old - the problem is that because of the location of the water reservoir the condensed water is pumped up to it. Apparently if the filters/condenser is not cleaned regularly it can become blocked and then water gets thrown about onto the electrics (I think at the rear) of the machine (you may actually see water seeping from the unpainted metal cover at the rear of the machine) the cover can be removed by removing several self tapper screws and drying the cover and surrounding area etc. may help. Keep condenser and filter clean.

It will do this if the machine has developed a direct short to earth - usually an element problem.
