How do i change the pads on my ford KA?

How do i change the fronf break pads on my for KA. Imagine i have the wheel of ect, now what? i have done them on a MK3 fiesta before
Kev, June 2004
Hi kev, they should be pretty much the same as your fiesta pads.
i havn't done any on a ka but they are all the same in principal.

you will need a 7mm socket key, this is a socket with a piece of 7mm allen key fixed to the socket.

at the back of the calpier facing in towards the engine bay you will see two rubber tubes with plastic caps covering the openings, remove the caps and insert the socket key (remember to push the caliper piston back first) to give you room for the new pads beware dont damage your discs doing it be careful where you lever from

remove both of the bolts and the half of the caliper with the pads in is now free to remove.

replace the pads and bolt it back together.

simple job should take 15/20 mins per side

hope this helps, if you get stuck drop me a line and i'll send you some scenned pics from a manual
