i have recently purchased a t reg reanult megane scenic the immobilser seems to be broken is there any way to cheaply fix the problem

Probably a Renault dealer can advise you best, but try getting out of the car, locking it with the plip key, then unlocking it again and jumping in. You have around 15 sec to start up before the immobiliser cuts in.
