deep scratch or crack in an acrylic bath - can it be repaired?

can a cracked acrylic bath be repaired
ms vincent, January 2008
scratches can be filled and re painted, cracks provided they are not completely through the acrylic can be raked out filled and painted.
There is a repair kit manufactured in Germany by Cramer it's only in white and it contains all you need to repair your bath.
it will be available shortly on the www.relaxair.com web site in the interim e-mail a.spencer@smithsbathrooms .co.uk for details

They can, but its very much a specialist repair which probably wouldn't be cost effective. However, if its only the shiny 'gelcoat' surface thats damaged, water leakage is unlikely. Its possible to use a glue like 'Araldite' to make things a bit better but it does look awful.
