I can not get my vaccum to suck anything up using the hose. I have torn apart and there are no clogs and it works fine using it the other way. Any suggestions?

The DC07 WON'T pick up dirt through the brush assembly when the vacuum is in the upright position.

There's a valve in the bottom of the mai body, where the little removeable elbow on the side fits, which shuts off the suction from the beaters and starts the suction through the hose.

Logically enough, I suppose, you won't be able to suck thru the hose UNLESS the vacuum is in the upright position.

Hope that helps.

Hi, go to www.sparesaver.com and look at their 'Help & Support' section. They have superb full instructions including colour photographs of troubleshooting Dyson problems.

On the DC07, there is a clutch on the side that has to be set to Auto before the front bristles will start rotating...check this, and at the same time see that both drive belts are in place. One drives the clutch from the motor, the other drives the bristles from the clutch. The clutch is actually there so you can vacuum solid floors. If you can remove the bristle bar retainer ( a few screws underneath) you'll probably find a dust clog in there too.
