How can I remove the motor of my Dyson DC07 as it overheats ?

The DC07 only runs for a short time then it cuts out. With all filters removed (including the one under the dust cylinder) and starting from cold, the Dyson runs as hot as a hair dryer on medium heat. Dyson say it sounds like the motor vent slots are blocked (with dust?).

I have got the motor out of mine and have a new one on order. When I have fitted it and it works I will put full instructions on here - here's hoping

More than likely the cyclone unit is clogged...dyson are aware there is a design fault...ring them and they'll supply a new cyclone unit free of charge (or they were doing)
