This may help my element packed in, I then replace it only to end up with youre problem.After putting it up on a table so I could watch it alround I found it was leaking out the back of the condenser and as my machine was in an inclosed space I persume this caused both problems. Now I find I cannot open the problem area from the back of the unit it looks like a sealed unit. I will take the plunge inside the machine tomorrow and work from there It is useless as it is so I will have a go cant find a related prob online.
