vauxhall zafira 2.0dti?

my car has suffered a sudden loss of power under acceleration
it still drives and the clutch isnt slipping its just got so sluggish. Could the turbo be buggered?

had same problem, turned out to be egr valve.

Is there a small picture of an car with a spanner in the middle lit up in orange on your dash. If so the engine has gone into safe mode as a sensor has gone down.
If not then yes it could possibly be the turbo, this would normally be accompanied by smoke though.

check all vacumn pipe's. if one come's loose you will loose power as if the turbo is dead, had same problem on a friend car that went in to local garage for glow plug's & came out with vacum pipe disconnected it tack's about 1/2 hour a most to sort

My turbo died at 70k miles and needed to be replaced. I mainly operate on motorways and complained heavily that a non serviceable, non maintainable part should "wear out"
My dealer agreed and gave me a 25% discount against a new one fitted. Still too blooming expensive though.
