how can i fix my zanussi ds11 dishwasher?

the water is pumping in but wont drain after cycle is finished i can hear the waste pump trying to drain it just clicks over and over again and no water is draining out

put the drain hose into a bucket and see if it drains.could be a faulty pump impellor or object stuck causing obstruction somewhere.
