i have constant hot water but the nothing is switch on ?

my heating or hot water is not on but i have constant hot water, pilot light is not on. i have a potterton boiler. can anyone help??

inside your hot water tank you have an immersion heater which works off electric and is totaly seperate from the boiler. Switch it off next to the tank or pull the fuse at the circuit board

Do you have an immersion heater in your copper tank thats switched on? Presumably your boiler isn't a combi.
