Belt squeek from top of my engine SRi 1.9 tdi?

I have a squeek coming from the top of my engineunder the plastic covers

Quite likely to be a tensioner squeaking - or the timing belt is too tight. Its worth having this checked out as any belt breakage causes lots of expensive damage. The water pump is in this area too and should be checked for leakage.
