i have a 14yr old worcester 240 boiler. over the last few days the fan has been making quite a loud noise. is it safe to have the boiler running and how do we rectify this problem.

we had our worcester 240 serviced yesterday ...according to the chap he said the fan bearings are wearing out ,hence the whining noise .it is now in the hands of our lanlord ,getting back to your question he did say that it is quite safe to carry on using the boiler ,even though the noise is getting on our nerves ,hope this helps till someone else replies .
