how do i fix the clutch on my ford ka?

i have been losing brake fluid really quickly in my ford ka and now the clutch won't work, i can put the car in gear when the engine is off but not when it is running. will i need to replace the clutch or could it be a problem with the slave cylinder?

change the slave cylinder as the seal has gone in yours don't forget to bleed the new one once in position, do not get brake fluid on any paint work.(keep the clutch reservoir full at all times when bleeding the system after installing the new slave cylinder)

Hi Amanda, does sound like the slave cylinder ot the clutch master have a look around the engine/gearbox area if its the slave then you should see an oil leak or if the carpet under the clutch pedal is wet with brake fluid then the master is leaking
