problem with traverse bars on Dewalt DW700?

the push/pull action on my saw is tight and therefore difficult to slide in either direction.
I am sure there must be some adjustment, anyone got any ideas?

I've tried everything with my dw700. I have concluded that the bars / tubes are not parallel.

Before you can slide out the traverse bars the screw on the end of one needs to be removed but it is held by a c section pin. You need to tap out the pin, remove the screw and slide the bar assembly out. You can then polish the bars with wirewool or if harsher action needed fine emery can be used with care. The tubes also can be cleaned as appropriate. Keep trying then slide the bars back until you are happy with the slide. Did mine today, best of luck.
