Just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to why my washer is making a thumping noise when it starts spinning.Almost seems that the drum is loose.It is moving from side to side but cant seem to see where it should be attached.Any help would be appreciated.

can you lift the stainless inner drum about as though it where loose.if you can then the bearings have collapsed and damage to outer drum and element may have occured.the cost of repair by an engineer can outweigh its worth and replaceing it is the best option
