how to fix a door lock?

I bought a ford ka 2 days ago and everything was fine but when i went to open the drivers door this morning the door wont open with the key any suggestions?or do i need a new lock??

Try the spare key first - they are very prone to wear. If no good, Ford can provide you with a new lock and sort the barrel to keep your original keys.
