the alarm goes off due to the voltage drop caused by you turning the ignition on.If you have the remote,turn the alarm off before you open the car door.If not,open the bonnet and survey the alarm unit.If you can spot 2 wires going to the coil,
1 orange and 1 brown,these are the ignition kill wires. 1 will go to the coil and the other to a wire in the car loom.Disconnect the brown & orange and tie them up out of the way.Reconnect the wire from the loom to the coil.Finally follow the red wire from the alarm unit.This is the power supply to the alarm.Along the wire should be a fuse holder,Open and remove the fuse.The alarm is now dead and will no longer announce its presence.
