How to disable a Scantronic 9800?

I have no need for the Scantronic 9800 system installed over 15 years ago in a house I bought recently. I was given no user guide (have since downloaded this) and the original installers went out of business some time ago. The immediately previous owners appear to have had no service contract and do not respond to requests for information.

How do I fully disable the system? The users manual does not mention this.

this information should not be passed to people online as you are highlighting how to DISABLE AN ALARM SYSTEM.

From the control Box. (powered source). First isolate your electrical power supply).

In the control box, disconnect the terminals to the Battery and disconnect and isolate the power source to the unit by disconnecting and insulating the wires to the transformer, (or unplug the blue/red connectors from the transformer to the PCB board), thus making the unit redundant.

if you have no use for the 9800 code panel, and yours is still in a good useable condition, let me no, as I am looking for one.

It depends on how you mean to disable? If the system has crashed the default user code is 1234 eng code 07890 or 0ent7890 - its been a while. If you need to crash the panel open the main cpu down power system and somewhere on the PCB is 2 reset pins short these out as you repower (battery first) then enter 1234 on keypad. if ya lucky the system will be wired to match the factory default settings. If you just was to kill it just diss the power but this will cause the battery in the bell to kick in so a ladder will be needed to disconnect this or if ya lucky it will stop after 20 mins
