You don't say what operating system you are using. If it's Windows XP or Vista it should be as simple as connecting it, the computer will recognise the new hardware and install the drivers. If it won't, then try and download the drivers from the Lexmark website - click on the "drivers & downloads" tab and find the correct drivers under inkjet printers (X5470).
