the mk 11 espace 91-96 there are bolts under the bonnet then one inside under the front speaker cover on the 1997 - 2002 model you need to remove the bolts under the bonnet and then from the outside close the mirror against the car and then you should see a cutout at the bottom of the outside of the mirror their is an allen screw at the bottom of this hole undo this making sure the nut on the inside of the car under the front speaker does not become dislodged, also under the front speaker is the wiring connector unplug this by pressing the little clip in.
