Damp carpet in Ford Mondeo?

I have a ford Mondeo which has a damp carpet at the rear of the drivers seat. I find it unlikely the car floor has a hole what could be the cause?

how do I take door card of mondeo 2006

found that water on 2004 mondeo passenger footwell is caused by water running down seal on car body as it enters door by mirror it hits a horizontal section of the seal that is clipped into place , over time , looking at this part of seal it drops to the right thus tipping water against door seal , this then runs to bottom of door seal where it sits, puddles over the top and flows into footwell. To remedy situation, i am making a small bracket to hold up horizontal part of seal, this then puts water to centre and water runs away.

hi, i have the same problem, it seems the water is coming in at the bottom of the door over the top of the seal, there are some white lime scale water mark's, which would indicate to me this is where it is coming from, i have this on a 2004 mondeo, all the doors have this problem, just the rear passenger one is the worst, is there a way to make these seals seal properly, i read somewhere that if you replace them it still does not stop the water from coming in

Hi,
The seal inside the door card are notoriously poor on the mk 3 mondeo, need to take off door card and re-seal with silicone etc

do you have a sun roof, if YES park your car other way round on drive as only the front part of the sunroof has drainage holes in they empty down the front pillars or check ALL DOOR DRAINAGE HOLES FOR BLOCKAGES etc paint or sealer is common lastly check plastic membrane behind the door panel on the affected side
