Hi,
My Craftsman lawn tractor with the B & S 21.5 HP engine will not stay running. I have changed the fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs and still get the same result. It will start and run a few minutes then it starts acting like it is running out of gas. If I pull the choke it will run a little longer then just die like it was turned off.I've checked the fuel bowl when it died and there was gas in it. has any one dealt with this before. I NEED HELP!!

Hi, hi have and 18hp twin cylinder that did the same thing and all that was wrong with it was the float have some small pin hole in it and would flood the engine out. So I would check the float in the carb.

Be sure to check needle and seat in carb for sticking closed not letting fuel pass thru ...its for sure a fuel flow problem ...

On my 13 Hp I found that the gas lines were not secured with clips. And they were sucking air. After i added clips it started easer and ran stronger.
If you spray the ends of the gas lines with starter fluid ,a change of rpms
shows a leak.
