E3 Error on Belling Dishwasher type IDW 601?

E3 Error on Belling Dishwasher - Type 12033 Model IDW 601. It starts no problem and runs for about 3/4 hour bleeps 3 - 4 times and stops, leaving water inside (I think being honest it nearing the end of it programme). However I did note that before I started to get the E3 Error, the dishes were not being washed properly, therefore I was having to either send them through a cycle again or take them out of the dishwasher and rinse them off. I am sure also that when it has stopped and I have opened the door - there is not heat. I have tried everything, the inside is spotless but I cannot use it!! Can anyone help please.

Hello, I had a belling dishwasher showing an E3 error, This cause me a lot of trouble but i got their in the end. First i put a new thermostat price £2.00 but no good then a new heating element price £40.00 and still no good then i discover the salt was turned off. Turned it on and kept run it 3 or 4 times and now working fine. I think their was a blockage in a pipe and the water was not pumping around the heat element + the salt light was on and it was full off salt. the salt breaks up the food in the water. Hope this is helpfull and try the cheap way out first.

The E3 code is normally related to the overheating of the water during a wash. There is a thermal swith that has a manual reset button mounted on it. The button is normally red in colour and is about 3mm in diameter. REMEMBER TO SWITCH OFF THE POWER BFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS. The switch is accessed by removing the silver plate mounted beneath the door. The plate is secured by 2 phillips screws. The switch, black in colour, is mounted to the left and is about 10cm in from the front of the machine. Simply press the red button to reset. This should solve the problem but if the problem persists I suggest you call an engineer.
