Indesit dishwasher DG6145 - RCD trip fault?

Hi home fixers. Just bought a second hand DG 6145. Ran ok for a few washes then took to dropping the consumer unit RCD while part way thro the main wash. By studying the drop out point in the cycle my suspicions have been lead to the water heater element as a possible culprit. Before I start hauling the thing to bits any advise on possible / common components for this one.

All advise received with gratitude.

Hi there,
Had a similar fault with a D61DUK this week where the element had failed and caused this problem. Check the element for signs of discoloration and / or blistering as they are commonly visible on a failed tubular element. These signs are usually localised to the area that failed on the element. A continuity test between live and earth will confirm if the element has gone pop (with the machine off the power of course!)
