I have a Ford Mondeo 1.8L 1990 and the driver side window won't go up or down when the electric switch is pressed. The other side works fine. How do i find what the probem is and repair?
Buy a used complete mechanism from ebay. Cheap.
Take the inside cover off the door (google how to).
Replace unit.
Took me 1.5 hrs and I've never done one before

Chances are that either the switch or the motor itself is bad. Some of the switches can be removed and checked without too much problem. If it's the motor, it will require removing the interior trim panel.
