Bosch WTL6003GB tumble dryer tripping mains?

Our Bosch WTL6003GB tumble dryer switches on okay but after a couple of minutes it trips the mains.
The filters are cleaned regularly before use so they are not blocked. My wife says that the switch is making a clicking sound when she switches the machine on which she has not noticed before.
Any advice appreciated
I am a competent DIYer so replacing parts would not be a problem.

if you mean it is tripping an earth leakage decice then i've had the same problem and i've traced it to the heating element. if i run the machine with the elemant disconected, i runs fine. as soon as some condensation builds up there is a earth leakage path from the element to the chassis and it trips out.
my solution was to move it to a propety without earth leakage protection. allready wasted far to much time trying to overcome this problem. i'm ditching it soon...problem solved
