how to repair canon 1010?

photocopier now displays error code EO and will not copy. Occasionally works once after being switched off. Toner is full and everything was working well until code appeared.

E0 00 & E0 01 Relate to the fixing unit (heater). If E0 00 check the heating lamp inside the roller or the thernistor, if E0 01, again check thermistor. If E0 30 the DC controller is defective (get rid of the copier). These are v. expensive.

the error code will not be E0 it will have 2 or 3 more digits. Normally it will flash E0 the the other digits. Re ask question when you know the rest
