Very high clutch on M reg Mondeo ?

I have just brought a 1995 1.8 td Mondeo, the clutch does not slip, but is very high,also it is hydraulic, Question : Could someone tel me , is the clutch on its last legs

Hi Mike

Unfortunately the answer is yes, the clutch is on it's way out.
As you have already said the clutch is hydraulic so there is no
adjustment.
