How do you change a front tire on a Suzuki SV 650s?

I need to change a front tire and am wondering if I just line up the dot on the tire with the valve stem if it will be balanced. Or if I should just take it in and have it done. I can change it I just want to make sure that it is right. Also what are the torque spec. on the reinstall of the rim on the bike?

If u take the wheel to a garage to get balanced, make shure they have a digital balancer and they know how 2 use it. Plenty of nuggets out their will take your money and slap on a pound of lead.

Lining up the dot with the valve is a good move, but the tyre still won't be fully balanced.....take a tip and get the tyre supplier to do it for you - its much more accurate and they will also torque up the spindle nut for you.
