Can you get it to start by holding the door switch and helping the drum along by hand?
Either the drive belt has broken, the belt tensioner wheel has broken or fallen off, or the motor-start capacitor has failed (not sure if yours is a capacitor-start motor or not).
You would hear the motor running freely if the belt had failed.
IF it's an older model, one or both of the drum support wheels may have seized completely. You would typically hear these getting louder and perhaps squeaking loudly as they started to fail.
